Note: The Hong Kong off-site programs were cancelled due to a Signal 8 typhoon advisory hoisted by the Hong Kong Observatory. The below information portrays the program as it was meant to happen.

The New World Centre is perhaps the most significant tall building being constructed in Hong Kong today. In prime position on the Tsim Sha Tsui waterfront, looking across Victoria harbor to Hong Kong island, this 265-meter high tower embraces both office and hotel functions with a large podium housing various functions. This program will focus on varying aspects of constructing towers in a city like Hong Kong, from a legislative, logistical and resource viewpoint, followed by a comprehensive tour of the tower, which will be approaching completion by the time of the conference.
