Session 2A: Development Drivers

October 17, 2016
11:15 AM – 12:45 PM

This session looked through the lens of the high-rise developer, on what has been driving the unprecedented uptake of skyscrapers in recent decades. Topics such as the intersection between culture and sustainable development, and the modern phenomenon of the multi-centered city were embraced. The session finished with a frank evaluation of whether skyscrapers over 700 meters in height are justified, from a developer perspective.
