Platinum + Networking Reception (4 No.)

There were five major networking receptions held in conjunction with the 2016 conference; the opening conference reception at the Ping An Finance Center Shenzhen on the evening of Sunday, 16 October, further networking receptions in Shenzhen on Monday 17 October, Guangzhou on Wednesday 19 October, and Hong Kong on Thursday 20 October, and the Closing Party on Friday 21 October. The Platinum + Networking Reception sponsors were acknowledged as the sponsors of the reception, alongside the actual owners of the building where the reception took place, who are acknowledged as “Hosts.”**

Platinum networking reception sponsors enjoyed maximum exposure both before and during the conference, with the second-highest priority of branding in all documentation and on-site signage (after Diamond Sponsors). In addition, and if desired, the Platinum networking reception sponsors also enjoyed a complimentary exhibition booth in a primary position in the Shenzhen segment of the Conference, as well as many other benefits as shown below:

Platinum + Program Room (8 No.)

There were eight Program Rooms in the Shenzhen segment of the 2016 conference – all accommodating a specific track or theme of the Conference. Each Program Room was thus be an integral part of the main conference, accommodating approximately 15 presentations over the two main conference days in Shenzhen. The sponsor nominated 5 of these presentations, with CTBUH nominating 10 presentations from the open call for papers, to achieve a harmonious program for the room.

The Program rooms also served as exhibition suites, and were promoted to all delegates both in advance of, and during, the conference itself. The Program Rooms ranged in size from 65 to 140 square meters in area, and were allocated on a first come-first served basis in terms of room size and position. The other benefits of the Platinum + Program Room sponsorship are shown below:

Platinum + Program Room Package Benefits included the following:

  • Recognition as a major sponsor of the Conference, with high priority branding among sponsors*
  • Provision of a 65-140 square meter Project Room housing a major track/theme of the Conference and serving as both exhibition suite and presentation/meeting/networking events room. (Note: Standard furniture and AV equipment were provided. All other internal furnishings, support equipment, and specialty catering (if desired) were the responsibility of the sponsor)
  • Partnership with CTBUH in determining the speaker program in the Program Room, accommodating a track of approximately 15 speaker presentations over the two Shenzhen conference days, of which the sponsor nominated 5 presentations, and CTBUH nominated 10 presentations. All 5 (or less) of the sponsor-nominated presentations could be substantiated with written papers which, following successful peer review, were included in the conference proceedings. Not all presenters in the room needed to have a paper substantiation and did not need to be registered as delegates of the conference overall, but to carry an official “Speaker” status at the conference (and benefit from the reduced Speaker rate registration), a paper did need to be provided.
  • Inclusion of the paper(s) within the Conference Proceedings publication – a digital copy of which was given to every delegate for informational and promotional purposes
